Fancy a steam train ride on Bristol Harbour Railway from M Shed or how about a trip on the Harbour in our historic boat, the John King? Bristol Harbour Railway was built by the Great Western Railway in the 1870s and extended in the 1900s. The railway runs on the quayside between M Shed and the SS Great Britain. The John King is a 1935 diesel tug built to tow cargo ships from Bristol City Docks to the mouth of the River Avon. Buy tickets on the day from the ticket office by the M Shed platform.
