Young Shipwrights Boat Race

Primary school children in groups of four are supported by business volunteers to build a model pilot cutter, with the help of My Future My Choice. Workshops run throughout the year to create over 100 boats. The work is supported by free travel from GWR to bring children to Temple Meads where they catch the Packet Boat to workshops on the MV Balmoral. Bristol businesses sponsor these workshops and send volunteers to work with the children. The race winners get £100.
