The Emperials

“Bristol’s Ska-institution”, “The South West’s favourite ska band” and “Longstanding local ska legends” are descriptions of Bristol based ska band, The Emperials.

The Emperials are stalwarts of the UK Ska world and Bristol music scene, with 24 years of gigs under their belt, including (at least) 40 shows at the legendary Fleece.
With a reputation for fun, entertaining and very lively shows, the line up of rock-solid drums, pounding bass, skanking guitar and Hammond keyboard are adorned by an energetic and blasting brass sections, all led into battle by the storming and versatile vocals.

Having played with all the greats of the ska and reggae world and doing it since 2002, The Emperials are not just another ska review band… they do things their way. Ska classics, reggae singalongs, awesome rarities, unexpected delights and those dancey bangers always have crowds singing along and dancing til they drop.
