Sound Women Takeover

Sound Women Bristol (SWB) are really proud to have some of the top tier of female talent representing them on the main stage this year's BHF.

Performers will include *August* a live hybrid electronic singer, songwriter & producer,  described as "one of the UK's most exciting emerging artists" - Earmilk.

Next up Chiedza will be playing an uplifting set of Amapiano, Afro beats & Afro house.

Rounding up the Sound Women Takeover will be the amazing Miss Faithee a soulful R&B singer-songwriter known for her emotionally rich music, blending vulnerability and strength.  Miss Faithee (formerly Faith Nelson on The Voice UK) made it to the Knockouts under the mentorship the mentorship of Paloma Faith. In 2024, Miss Faithee joined forces with Tech House legend Eric Martin of Technotronic, touring globally and refining her live performance.

This will all be seamlessly hosted by Miss Divine from SWB.

Sound Women Bristol aka Sound Women SW provides both training and safe spaces for women of all ages to come together for self-help, support, information exchange and development around gender equality in the sound technology, radio, audio and music industries from the streets to the boardroom. Only 23%% of all festival lineups are female led and behind the scenes there's only 6% of women working. (As well as our own studies, surveys, these stats also backed up by Huddersfield University).
