Retini

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Retini was raised in Queens, New York before settling in Bristol, UK. Having started her musical journey later in life, her songs often speaks about various aspects of life with an emphasis on the unplugged acoustic folk genre. Formerly part of the duo Reviva Rush, her music explores a range of different acoustic styles, blending vocal harmonies and the melodic instrumental sounds. Having spent much of her adult life at the piano and guitar, she writes songs which are inspired by emotions, current events and her personal thoughts on global issues. She often collaborates with her musician friend, Phil Rouse who himself is an accomplished Singer/Songwriter and talented guitarist. Their repertoire as a duo shows a versatility in their music as it fuses the acoustic and electric guitars smoothly while Retini’s vocals accompanies the songs in an expressive and melodic way. Retini often frequents the Bristol Fringe to host and perform at Open Mics and other venues in and around Bristol.
