Port of Bristol Shanty Crew

The Port of Bristol Shanty Crew formed in May 2022 to enjoy singing together and to raise money for the The Teenage Cancer Trust; originally with a £1,000 target, things have moved on considerably since they started and, to date, they have raised over £53,000 for the charity.

Their reputation as entertainers has grown considerably and they were nominated at the 2025 ITV Pride of Britain Award for their charity work and also featured on ITV West as a Regional Finalist.

The Port of Bristol Shanty Crew  are a crew of mates who just love to sing traditional working shanties along with more modern maritime songs and Bristol sea shanties.  Their mantra is "Fun and Friendship, Melody and Mirth"; and they sing anything with a nautical theme and a good tune or a good lyric.

They play every where from their local pub to the Falmouth International Shanty Festival performing to over 3,000 people which was also live screened around the world.
