Gaie Delap is a grandmother, Quaker and life-long activist. She spent 5 months of a 20 month sentence in prison after taking peaceful pro-social action on the M25 to highlight the government's failure to take the climate crisis seriously and to address the existential threat we face. Following her initial release, she was recalled to prison simply because of the Ministry of Justice’s inability to provide an electronic monitoring tag that would fit her.
She was re-eventually released with a wrist tag. She remains on licence until February 2026.Blue is an activist from Trans Kids Deserve Better, a direct action network tackling transphobia from the Government & Media. Blue has been involved with a few TKDB actions at this point, namely the occupation at the EHRC, which is what she is here to talk about today!
Raj Chada is one of the country’s leading criminal lawyers with expertise in defending protesters, and was instrumental in fighting to secure Gaie's release from prison.
