FILS.

Stéphane Del Castillo, also known as Fils., has been involved in the Bordeaux music scene for many years, notably through the project Mamakilla. Fils. emerged after a period of lockdown, during which the artist spent two to three months in deep introspection.

This experience gave rise to songs that capture moments of everyday life, presented with a distinctive honesty and set against an indie-pop musical backdrop characterized by delay-soaked guitars, reverb, and French-language vocals. Fils.’s 1990s influences are evident, yet they are refined and reimagined to fit a contemporary aesthetic.

Through his music, the artist shares his emotions with subtlety, exploring aspects of daily life in which anyone can recognize themselves.

Following the release of his first EP, “Amorphe”, raw and authentic, and his debut album “Peace”, rich in color and emotion and praised by major French media outlets such as France Inter, Radio France, FIP, Rolling Stone, and Tsugi, Fils. was invited to open for Jain in April 2024. He now returns with a new EP scheduled for release in 2025, entitled “Ici on se sent bien” (“Here We Feel Good”), embracing a more electronic atmosphere.
