Drop in Circus Workshops

All the family can join the circus in our drop-in circus workshops at Queen Square!

Under the guidance of Circomedia's expert tutors and performers you can try juggling, plate spinning and even walk a tight-rope. Find out how circus can build confidence, support mental resilience and be a whole lot of fun. No experience needed and all equipment provided, these sessions are running several times a day, all weekend.

Based in Kingswood and St Pauls Bristol, Circomedia Academy is a world-renowned centre for contemporary circus and physical theatre. Since opening our doors we’ve encouraged students to become bold, versatile artists who go on to shape the future of contemporary circus.

We offer a variety of training courses and workshops that teach circus skills in the context of physical theatre, performance, and creativity. Alongside this, we also present a programme of professional circus, theatre and dance shows a year.

Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s educating the next generation of artists on our BTEC or Degree courses, presenting innovative and challenging work at our city centre venue, or engaging with members of the public through our part-time classes and community outreach projects.
