Join the City of Bristol Rowing Club during this year's Harbour Festival for a special Boat Naming Ceremony, celebrating both the traditions of rowing and the people and culture that make Bristol unique. Boat naming is a long-standing tradition in rowing clubs around the world. More than simply giving a boat an identity, a naming ceremony marks the beginning of a vessel's life on the water and provides an opportunity to recognise the stories, values, and individuals that shape a club's community. This year, the City of Bristol Rowing Club will officially name two new boats. These boats will be named in honour of members whose dedication, generosity and countless volunteer hours helped build and strengthen our club community. Their contributions have left a lasting legacy, and these boats will carry their names for future generations of rowers to remember and celebrate.
