Bristol Channel Social Rowers

An opportunity to get out onto the Harbour as part of an introductory fixed (as opposed to sliding) seat row. Each session includes: safety and technique briefings; return escorted row from The Cottage pontoon into and around Cumberland Basin; provision of buoyancy aid. The row will last approximately 30 minutes including briefing, boarding, departing, navigation, landing and disembarking. Participants should be able to swim. Not suitable for people under the influence of alcohol. Younger children would struggle to control the oars; practical attire is important. The club will have several volunteers in attendance who will assess suitability.
