Grove

Producer and vocalist Grove contorts dancehall, bass and hip-hop into a brand new beast, driven by sensual liberation and political defiance. Inspired by the DIY nature and ethos of punk, the catharsis of dance music and the power of Jamaican sound system culture, Grove feeds you food for thought at the dance and enough energy to turn thought into action. Since 2021, Grove has released a series of EPs, including ‘Queer + Black’; an exploration of identity, both personal and political. Most recently, the double punch of 'P*W*R // PL*Y’ explores power-based relationships through radical and playful lenses. 'BIG BOOTS' is a timely riposte to the monarchy, imperialism, systemic racism and a flame to the bunting choking the streets of the UK, while 'MILF MAGNET' celebrates the simple pleasures of appreciating beautiful older women. Through the last two years of tearing up festivals worldwide and supporting the likes of Bob Vylan, Peaches, BABii and Moonchild Sanelly, their sound has been publicly championed by Mary Anne Hobbs, Steve Lamacq, Jamz Supernova and Jack Saunders.
