This year we are introducing an all-new family Maritime Heritage trail to the Bristol Harbour Festival that will encourage visitors to visit some of the key heritage points throughout the city.
From Redcliffe Way to Clifton Suspension Bridge, it will encourage Harbour Festival visitors to navigate the whole Harbour over the festival weekend and really discover what is on offer and see the Harbour from a new perspective.
Whether you’re a budding sailor, history enthusiast or just love taking in the Bristol sights, the trail will enable you to explore like never before. Learn how much it cost to travel on the ss Great Britain or how the prize-winning ‘Concept Ship’ is powered through your participation.
For every completed trail, participants will have the chance to win a boat kit to make your own model of a Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter.
The trail map is available to download from here if you want to print it at home or you can pick up a copy from volunteers at the Bristol Harbour Festival or by picking up a copy of The Post.
Run by ‘My Future My Choice’ , they were set up in 2009 to address the need identified by businesses and school leaders for practical opportunities for young people to engage with the world outside school.
