The Festival Fleet

DSC_0001.jpg

The classic sight of the Bristol Harbour Festival is the many masts and strings of bunting of the festival fleet packing the waterways adding a splash of colour and maritime images.

More than 250 vessels of all shapes and sizes will be tied up at every available mooring space to bring their own very special brand of nautical capers.

The tug John King and Mayflower – the oldest Bristol built vessel afloat and believed to be the oldest surviving tug in the World, plus the our very own Matthew will grace the quaysides.

And to start the show – our very own Pyronaut – built in 1934 in Bristol as a fire boat which played an epic role in the 2nd World War blitz.
