Gurt Lush Choir/Bristol MAN Chorus

GurtLush.jpg

To commemorate the centenary of the First World War one of Bristol’s biggest community choirs brings a specially arranged suite of the classic songs of the era to represent the city’s vigorous choral life.

Drawn from communities across Bristol, the Gurt Lush Choir and Bristol MAN Chorus are one of the largest and liveliest open-access choirs in the country. Under the leadership of musical director Sam Burns for nearly a decade they have been performing all styles of a cappella music in many of Bristol’s finest musical venues as well as collaborating in ambitious new works with orchestras, opera groups and jazz musicians.
