Ashley Russell
Dance Village
Ashley attained his BA in dance and choreography in Arnhem, Holland and went onto to choreograph there for four years. He went on to New York City to train with one of the leading teachers in gyrotonic, and subsequently managed a teacher-training facility there and did an internship with the Limon Dance Company where he developed a passion for dance management and making things happen.
Since returning to Bristol Ashley has been an advocate for dance in the city, working for the city council and bringing world-class artists to teach & perform in the region. Over the last two years Ashley has worked with the city council to develop the Dance Village at the Harbour Festival and has been instrumental in securing world class artists through his contacts in the international dance community.
