Fireworks

An estimated 50,000 people watched the Saturday night firework show - one of the highlights of the festival.

The three fringe venues - Thekla, Louisiana and Grain Barge - had bands on throughout the weekend.

Louisiana

Bristol’s legendary Louie brings its usual mix of top-notch live music to the festival Fringe. Acts range from the bass-heavy rock of Bristol’s Big Joan to the plaintive sounds of 23-year-old singer-songwriter Amelia Tucker, the apocalypse-pop of Kill Cassidy to the “pleasingly off-template” Scarlet Rascal & The TrainWreck (Venue). The boat that rocks presents another fantastic line-up to complement the festival’s main music stages, including three-piece rock and rollers The John E Vistic Experience, folk rockers Howlin’ Lord, the self-styled “Elastic Waste Band” OLO Worms and We Multiply, playing their festival special. Grain Barge

The harbourside’s historic barge boasts great views of the ss Great Britain by day and a packed schedule of live music by night. Gypsy-folk quintet Bert Miller & The Animal Folk will be joined by leftfield popster Annette Berlin and others on Saturday while Sunday is dedicated to an exclusive acoustic showcase.
